The Girl

I'm a twenty something mom and wife with a passion for being the hostess with the mostest.  I'm a Sigma Kappa alum and a Management and Organizational Development major (read that like:  Business Major) who is trying to balance my daily life filled with peanut butter and jelly making, human resources-ing, and being a modern day Emily Post.

I oppose mom jeans, Velcro Reebok tennis shoes, and mini vans and love big hats, tall shoes, and my man in a bow tie.  I believe that sweet tea, stationary, and 'please and thank you's' are practically a way of life, ladies look their best with pearls around their necks, and that glitter can make virtually anything look better.

I married my college sweetheart and we have the cutest 3-year-old boy on the face of the Earth.  

I'm also a Princess of THE King (he's a pretty big deal.. his name is Jesus) and I wouldn't be where I am today without his grace and SO many blessings!

The Blog

Emily M. and I have been best friends since we joined the same sorority and lived with each other in college.  We love anything that has glitter, toile, or is monogrammed and we became hooked to event planning after we threw one of our friends a baby shower.  From our infatuation with all things pretty and girlie, we created The Emilys Post; a place where we could gush over a few of our favorite things while trying to uncover the recipe to throwing a perfect party.

We hope you catch the party bug with us and enjoy our musings, but more importantly, we hope that you keep celebrating!
